The wonderful thing about Reiki is that it works on so many levels. Mental, emotional, spiritual and physical healing is experienced. A treatment can be used to manage chronic pain, fatigue, work related stress and discomfort but can also assist in dealing with the trauma of a divorce, bereavement, anger issues or a crisis of faith. It is a gentle form of healing that can help you cope with a myriad of issues and foster a greater sense of well being on every level.
Translated Reiki means "Universal Life Energy" and the basic premise is that the practitioner acts as a channel or funnel for the universal energy to enter the client and enhance their body’s own innate ability to heal. The practitioner does not give of their own energy, they simply act as a conduit or guide. While the modality has been influenced by Buddhism, Christianity and Shinto there are no specific religious ties and requires no spiritual affiliation. Reiki is not a religion.
Reiki is a wonderfully beneficial practice which can help resolve physical and mental disorders and dis-ease and engender a greater sense of peace, balance and wholeness of being. There are no negative side effects and it requires no input on the part of the client. Whether you are chronically effected or simply curious and looking for more wellness in your life I would recommend trying a treatment.
